When someone first called me a gourmande in 2002 as a college junior studying abroad in Grenoble, France, I was secretly overjoyed. What can only be described as a transformative time in the life of my taste buds, that period in France brought my already active and quite omnivorous appetite to new heights.
Now as a culinary school graduate and professional hard cider aficionado living in Boston, Eating the Rind is where my life as a gourmande and my adventures in eating, drinking, experimenting in the kitchen, entertaining, and exploring my culinary self come together.
